My name is Richard Wong. I was trained as a mechatronic engineer during my undergraduate from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 I started my D.Phil (Ph.D.) in Engineering Science in the University of Oxford for which I received my leave to supplicate in October 2017. My D.Phil thesis title is Speed Control for Low-Energy On-Time Buses. When I was doing D.Phil in the University of Oxford, I was with the Energy and Power Group (EPG).

I am enthusiastic about coding, machine learning, and optimisation. My preferred programming language is Python but I am also well exposed to Matlab, C++, HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript. I also have experience in database systems, specifically MySQL and SQLite. My projects can also be viewed from the Apps page.

Currently I am a lecturer in the Sunway University, Malaysia. I am with the Department of Computing and Information Systems (DCIS) under the School of Science and Technology (SST) since August 2018. My research interests are in , but not limited to, the field of computational intelligence, with applications in transportation systems and robotics. I am always open to interesting research opportunities.

My publications can be seen through my Google Scholar site.
